Taking a vacation to Sausalito, California is the perfect destination for people of all ages. Between the art galleries, museums, tours, shopping, festivals, and everything else going on, there is little time to be bored. Sausalito attractions draw people from all over the state and beyond. Since this small town is only minutes from the San Francisco Bay area, something is always going on.

During the day, people can head to Bike and Roll Bicycle Rentals and Guided Tours to rent bikes and explore the city up close. However, for non-bikers, the day could be spent taking a boat tour through Sausalito Wooden Boat Tour, a professional business that offers some of the most amazing tours in the city. Of course, there are also numerous ferry tours taking people to the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, the former prison of Alcatraz, and more.

Of course, for people who appreciate more mental stimulation, there is the Sausalito Historic Exhibit, The Dreaming Room, with a wonderful collection of antiques from all around the world, or even the Computer History Museum where people can see the largest collection of computing artifacts in the entire world. Of course, for children, the Bay Area Discovery Museum is one of the best. Developed specifically to help develop the mind of children, this museum has numerous programs, events, and camps.

Entertainment in Sausalito is also exciting. During the summer months, music festivals are common. One of the most popular is the Jazz and Blues by the Bay, featuring some of the most talented musicians. Then on Friday from mid-May to mid-August, there is the Farmer’s Market where all types of fruits, vegetables, and fresh flowers can be purchased. The park nearby has a number of music genres, along with beverages and food. People can take lawn chairs or blankets to sit on the grass and simply relax and enjoy.
