Summer Camps: Sausalito and the San Francisco Bay

In Marin County, many children, teens and adults enjoy spending time at summertime camps. Structured camp experiences are offered as weeklong daytime clinics that are devoted to general activities or a specific skill or as overnight adventures that allow the participants time to thoroughly enjoy their outings. As a rule-of-thumb, most sleepover camps are operated by local youth organizations, athletic clubs and area churches; it is often possible for non-members to attend overnight fun-filled camps in unique locations.

Today, summer camps are devoted to the traditional outdoor experiences; or, to interest areas that include engineering, sciences, performing arts, sports or academics. Cooking schools, sailing organizations and photography studios often offer day camp classes for both children and adults. Often, teens and young adults enjoy attending exciting camps scheduled for children as volunteer or paid camp counselors or helpers-on-staff. In the San Francisco Bay Area, there are summer camps for residents and visitors of all ages.
