Bay Model – The Bay Model is a one of a kind full scale model of the San Francisco Bay Area with all of the realistic inlets, channels, streams, and water features featured in the actual bay. Bring the kids and let them in on one of the most entertaining educational exhibits they will ever see. Watch every fifteen minutes as the “bay’s” tides go in and out mimicking the real thing! Marine Mammal Center – The Marine Mammal Center is yet another world-renowned attraction located inside the Golden Gate National Recreation area. One of the foremost rescue and rehabilitation facilities for marine mammals such as harbor seals and sea lions in the country, the Marine Mammal Center is the perfect way to teach children about the local native wildlife and let them have a great time learning about these wonderful animals.
Point Bonita Lighthouse – The Point Bonita Lighthouse is a great family outing because of the scenic overlooks and the picturesque lighthouse at the end of the trail. Parents will find the breathtaking views worth the short walk, while the kids will be entertained by the winding path that follows the cliff out to the structure and the bridge across to the lighthouse itself.
