With single person, double person, adventure, and ocean-going kayaks available you’ll get set up quickly to get out and enjoy the water! Sea Trek Ocean Kayaking Center and Stoked SF are both based right in Sausalito and provide everything you’ll need from helmets and life jackets to the boats themselves. They’ll be happy to get you set up and on your way out to sea for an adventure you won’t forget!

Outdoor Adventures near Sausalito

Being located directly next to the water with scenic views from the hills surrounding downtown certainly lends an outdoors feel to the own of Sausalito, and there are many opportunities for both residents and visitors to get outside and enjoy the wonderful surrounding areas.

The Marin Headlands, a part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, are located just a few blocks from downtown Sausalito and provide miles and miles of trails for hiking and cycling and historic sites such as World War Two gun batteries, missile installations, and more. Also very nearby are Mt. Tamalpais, one of the highest peaks in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the world famous Muir Woods coastal redwood grove. Both of these attractions are picturesque reminders of why Sausalito is a draw for visitors throughout the year.
