Sausalito visitors looking for a weekend trip out to wine country sometimes want a bit of a quieter ride and a more remote destination than the crowded Napa and Sonoma Valleys and head farther north to the Healdsburg area. Within just a short distance farther than to one of the wine “capitals” of California, you will find yourself in another world altogether and in a vacation spot that many people never discover.

While technically a part of the Sonoma wine country, Healdsburg is generally considered its own destination with its vibrant downtown area and wineries bearing their signature appellation. Discover this quiet wine-based vacation spot and you may never go anywhere else in wine country again!

All within just a few miles of the downtown area shops and hotels are world class Zinfandels and Pinots, vineyard views, and more.

Healdsburg is known as a vacation spot in part because of the large concentration of winery tasting rooms in the downtown area.
